Our mission is to train young people to be leaders with a Christian perspective. Our educational goal is to foster in children the academic achievement, spiritual development, social maturity, and physical skills necessary to glorify God. The commitment of Sheridan Hills to a Christian philosophy, accelerated curriculum, quality textbooks, and professional qualified teachers assures excellence in education.

The Sheridan Hills Christian School reflects community need and the maturation of the programs of the school. As a ministry of Sheridan Hills Baptist Church, the school had its beginning in September of 1967. Throughout its history, Sheridan Hills Christian School has continued to exemplify academic excellence offered in an atmosphere of Christian principles. Each passing year has brought innovations in curriculum. Teaching personnel are highly screened so that only the most qualified Christian teachers are employed. Programs for kindergarten through grade 8 flourished through 1983 when grades 9-12th were added. The co-educational program is fully accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools is a member in good standing with the Association of Christian Schools International. The campus is located on 19.2 acres of land in Hollywood, Florida at 3751 Sheridan Street. Five acres adjacent to the Sheridan Hills campus on Raleigh Street were donated to the school in 1983 and now serve as our athletic fields.

Sheridan Hills Christian School is operated as a not-for-profit organization. An eight-member Oversight Committee works with the school through the Administrative Staff. The Board is a self-perpetuating body, and is representative of the constituency of the school.
